Contest Theme

Choose one or more 3D models from CGTrader’s marketplace (paid or free), bring them to life by printing them, capture the process and share your journey in a video on YouTube.

Optionally, you can include painting, customizing, post processing and assembly of the model or showing it in unique and cool use cases. Ensure to link back to the CGTrader models used in your video description.

Rules of the CGTrader 3D printing challenge:

The competition is open to anyone.
Users must use a paid or free 3D model from CGTrader.
Users must 3D print and/or post process the model, filming the process.
Users must upload the video to YouTube and link the 3D model used in the video description.
CGTrader must be mentioned in the title along with the hashtag #CGTraderPrintChallenge.
You can not infringe third party or copyrighted content.

Judging

The judging of the 3D PRINTING Video Challenge is supervised by CGTrader staff and our partners from Prusa and FormFutura. Winners will be chosen following the requirements below.

Print quality: We love to see prints that really pop with smooth surfaces, crisp details, and stand strong and proud.
Creative touch: If you decide to tweak your model, we're excited to see your unique spin! How will you make it your own?
Color and Finish: Got a knack for painting or finishing? Show off those brush skills or any special techniques you've got up your sleeve.
Innovation station: Surprise us with something we haven't seen before, using cool materials or printing methods.
Cheers from peers: Get those thumbs up, smiles, and comments rolling in on your video. Your fans' enthusiasm counts too!

Remember, it's all about having fun, learning, and pushing the limits of what you can create with your 3D printer. Can't wait to see what you come up with!
